I Komang Sida (Sida) has instructed classes all over Bali. He has brought the joy and strength of yoga to many people in Bali, locals and visitors alike. Before qualifying as a yoga instructor, Sida was trained as a self-defense instructor and was a village chief for Nongan Village, Karangasem for five years. He is now a qualified yoga teacher with 200hr Hatha Vinyasa Ashtanga in Yogakarta in 2019. He and his wife, Puspa, give back to their community by offering yoga classes through donations in Tuka, Dalung Bali.
Mano Hara grew up in a small town in Bali and later moved with his family to Denpasar in search for a better life. At the age of 14, his friend introduced him to Martial Arts. He worked hard at the sport until an injury kept him from practicing for two years. In 1990, Mano began practicing yoga at Ananda Marga in Denpasar and enjoyed relief from his injury after one year. He tried Tantra Yoga and was then introduced to the Master, Shrii Shrii Anandamurti. He also practiced daily meditation techniques where he learnt from Ananda Marga. Since 2000, Mano has been teaching yoga in Bali and completed his training for aero-swing and aero-yin in 2016. He now lives the life he’s always dreamed of.
Yogi teaches a variety of yoga styles - Vinyasa, Hatha, Beginner Yoga and Meditation. He was first introduced to yoga in 1992 when he met a monk from India through his friend. A few years later, in 1995, he began his Yoga Teacher Training Philippines and completed in India. Yogi wants his students to know that practicing yoga isn’t just to help them stretch their stiff bodies, but also to help them change their entire lives for the better. He notes, “yoga can change the way you see things, the way you deal with situations, the way you think, and eventually how you live your life.
Diaz projects happiness and creativity in his teaching. Blending Vinyasa Flow, Budokon, Qigong, and Inside Flow making the dynamic fusion between mindfulness, movement, strength & challenge into his class. With a 500hr Yoga Teacher Training under his belt and his background as a choreographer, he brings his class to sequence the poses together like a dance to a whole new dimension. He'll guide your practice out of the box and set your mind and body to expand all sorts of possibilities. His class is rather fun, playful, energetic and funky at the same time.
Mia Oktari is an experienced Yoga Teacher who is registered with Yoga Alliance for the last ten years. Her passion in life is creating and living a healthy lifestyle through practicing Hatha, Yin, Ashtanga Yoga and Fitness as well as eating healthy nutritious food. She enjoys incorporating meditation into her daily routine to ensure that she maintain the best physical, mental and emotional condition possible. Her training includes a 500hr study with prominent yoga teachers and scholars from India and Bali. Mia is committed to provide good knowledge in the yoga field. She is currently teaching Vinyasa Flow, Power Vinyasa and Yin Yoga.
Chitra’s passion for yoga started back in 2015. She realized how yoga changed her life - both physically and spiritually. From there, she decided to share her positive experience with others by becoming a yoga teacher. To learn more about yoga, Chitra travelled to India and completed her 200hr Ashtanga Vinyasa in Mysore. Later on, she came back to Bali for a 40hr Fly High Yoga training at Serenity Eco Guesthouse. She loves to teach, and through teaching yoga she can lead and help others on their yoga journey and make yoga a part of their daily lives. For her, practicing yoga is a beautiful connection with oneself, while teaching yoga is a beautiful connection with others.
Though his main practice at the moment is Ashtanga Vinyasa and Yin, Todjon’s practice is always a mix of various disciplines as he studies and practices various styles of yoga and spirituality. His teaching career began in 2014 after he received a full scholarship from his teacher Dini Maharani in Jakarta. Todjon also has a deep interest in bodyworks and he is a registered therapist of Thai massage. Furthermore, has been sharing his passion for yoga in many studios, workshops, and festivals in a safe and productive environment. Todjon is also a creative worker and he believes that yoga has helped him see things in a new and different perspective and has transformed him into a more creative person.
Kartana has been practicing yoga since the age of 24. He specializes in Vinyasa form, an on-going stream of flowing yoga poses. Born and raised in Bali, Kartana completed his 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud in 2006 under the guidance of American Vinyasa veteran, Melissa Spamer (Lotus in The Flames) and acquired another 200hr YTT from Chakra Yoga School in Ubud in 2018. He appreciates the continual challenge that yoga presents both physically and psychologically. He believes yoga is to be the perfect complement to other forms of exercise as it improves flexibility, balance, and strength.
Ika Dewi is a qualified yoga teacher born in Bali, Indonesia. She believes a consistent yoga practice creates harmony in the body, mind and heart and develops good habits which lead to a healthy and happy approach to health. As a 200hr yoga teacher registered at Yoga Alliance, she currently teaches yoga in several different studios in Seminyak and Canggu. Ika designs her classes to allow students to explore their personal range of motion and capabilities in relation to each class’ focus. She teaches different types of yoga - ranging from Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa to Aerial yoga. Her classes are both challenging and fun with an emphasis on physical alignment.
Amanda was born and raised in Bali, Indonesia. She was first introduced to yoga by a friend, telling her that yoga can heal the mind and make the body stronger and healthier. After practicing yoga, she found it very inspirational. This created a strong passion to delve deeper into the practice, making her complete two teacher trainings: 200hr Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin Yoga at School Of Sacred Arts & 50hr Flyhigh Yoga. Through yoga, she was able to discover how it builds the mind, body, and soul - both off and on the mat to improve flexibility, strength, and balance. Apart from being a yoga instructor, Amanda is a part-time surfer who likes to be in the water. The essence of her teaching is to bring joy, motivation, and inspiration to others.
Dewi Manies Yogini (Krisna Dewi) is originally from Singaraja, raised in the most traditional Hindu culture in Bali. Her belief is to respect all the Gods, as well as keeping the body and mind in line with local culture is the natural way of life. Naturally gifted with wisdom in body movement, Dewi has outgrown her shy nature as a child and developed self-confidence through teaching and sharing extensive knowledge of yoga. By accomplishing 450hr Yoga Teacher Trainings in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga, Dewi’s strong and consistent practices is what mainly fuels her teaching. In this way, a sense of honesty and calm assertiveness can be felt when joining her classes.
Lala was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. However, it was only in Bali that she knew yoga for the first time. Started out of curiosity, she ended up getting addicted to dynamic sequence of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and has been practicing yoga regularly for more than 3 years since 2015 after living in Bali. She discovered her passion in teaching since assisting Ashtanga class with Fernando Pacheco, an authorized Ashtanga yoga teacher. In 2017, she took a 200hr Hatha-Vinyasa RYT with the Peaceful Warriors to pursue her passion. With an intention to share yoga, she teaches dynamic Vinyasa sequences inspired by Ashtanga yoga with a slower pace. She also likes to combine slow Vinyasa flow with Yin/Restorative yoga for a more beginner class.
Yudha completed his 200hr Yoga Teacher Training at Lotus in the Flame School of Yoga and Healing Art. All of his teachings are based on two of his favourite styles of yoga - Hatha and Vinyasa. Yudha then began teaching at some resorts and studios in Ubud as well as Kuta area. He believes that opening the mind is the key to improve flexibility of the body, as well as improve focus and concentration. His favorite quote is one from Daniel Scott: Flexibility isn’t about opening the body; it’s also about opening up the mind to accept what is happening in the moment.
