Serenity Spooktober 2025: spooky fun with Serenity Family

This year’s Halloween at Serenity Eco Guesthouse was filled with laughter, creativity, and a little spooky magic! It was one of those days that reminds us why Serenity feels more like a family than a workplace, a place where everyone comes together to celebrate, share joy, and express their playful side.
A Day of Costumes, Carving, and Community
To celebrate, we hosted a Costume Contest and a Pumpkin Carving Challenge open to all of our incredible staff, from housekeeping and reception to our kitchen, garden, and accounting teams.
Everyone came prepared with fun ideas and big smiles. The creativity was next-level! We saw sailors, scarecrows, and spooky spirits, each costume filled with personality and flair. You could feel the excitement buzzing through the guesthouse as everyone got into character!
Pumpkins with Personality
Over at the carving table, our team had the chance to show off their artistic side. Each pumpkin told a story, from funny faces that made everyone laugh to eerie designs that gave off true Halloween vibes.
It was amazing to see how unique each creation turned out, and how much heart went into every one of them. Who knew our garden team could carve like pros?
Community Spirit: You Chose the Winners!
To make things even more interactive, we opened up public voting via Google Form. Guests staying at the eco guesthouse and dining at Alkaline Restaurant joined in the fun by casting their votes for their favorite costumes and pumpkins.
This small act of participation turned the event into a shared celebration between our staff and guests… exactly the kind of community connection Serenity loves to nurture.
And the Winners Are…
Best Costume: Eka from our Accounting team
Best Pumpkin Carving: Mida from the Garden Team, her design was truly a masterpiece of Halloween spirit.
Each winner received IDR 500,000, but more than that, they received a huge round of applause (and a lot of love) from everyone at Serenity.

Events like these remind us that joy and creativity are at the heart of what we do. Whether we’re serving nutritious meals, tending to our garden, or welcoming guests from around the world, our mission stays the same, to create a space that feels like home, filled with laughter, mindfulness, and human connection.
